As we enter a new decade, leaving the troubles and turmoil of 2009 behind us, let us keep the lessons learned and vow to ensure 2010 and beyond is phenomenal. Chinese Real Estate Association of America has weathered the various setbacks many other organizations have suffered and continue to move forward and grow at an exponential rate. Increased membership, educational seminars, socials, and affiliate organizations confirm CREAA sustainability in a time where we see deterioration in various different areas of Real Estate. I am honored and proud to take CREAA into a new decade and bring its members to a higher level of exposure and increased opportunities.
2009 has been a windy road for the real estate industry with: Banks receiving billion dollar bailouts, short sale transactions, nonexistent jumbo loans, and of course foreclosures. The loan market has changed tremendously: out of town appraisers, stringent loan approvals, and caution exuding from every direction. As Agents in this tough real estate environment we must continue to drive forward despite the obstacles, preparing ourselves to overcome any storm.
In 2010 my goal for CREAA members is to provide increased education to enhance each member’s professional profile in addition to gaining knowledge and skills in various new techniques of marketing and real estate transactions through our various seminars. I aim to continue reaching out to various real estate organizations to increase affiliations to benefit our members with increased networking opportunities and exposure.
CREAA has the unique ability of understanding the Chinese community in ways that other general organizations cannot. Real estate in San Francisco is heavily influenced by Chinese buyers, sellers, property owners, and real estate professionals. My goal for CREAA is to elevate our name to a national level. We have already begun this journey by sponsoring the HOPE Awards at our nation’s capital, affiliations with AREAA and NAR, and increasing our number of CREAA leaders attending national conferences to promote the organization and attain valuable knowledge which we can then pass on to our members.
I personally Thank You for your continual support and look forward to an exciting Year of the Tiger with all of our New and Existing Members!
Sincerely

Christina Chung, CRS, GRI, SRES President 2010
